No, it didn’t go out with the ark – this classic kitchen tool just went away for a little bit (and oh how you missed it!) for a 3-in-1 upgrade that’s made it even better than ever. If your attempt at slicing a boiled egg ends up with a squashed, mashed-up mess, this is the tool for you. With two different slicing tops, each with stainless steel cutting wires that easily glide through hard boiled eggs, you can cut even slices for your lunchtime sandwiches, or eggy wedges to accompany cold cuts for a buffet. Lovely! And if you want to dice an egg, press the slicing top down on it once, turn the egg around, then press the slicer down again. Easy!
How it works
As with everything else from Chef’n, their egg slicer works brilliantly and is super-fun to use. The base has a curved rest inside that holds your egg – upright or on its side – so it won’t roll around; just pop your egg on, choose the slicer or wedging top and press down. It’s that simple, and will save loads of time chopping, especially when you’re making a big batch of egg mayo and cress sarnies for a party.
