"Good concept, but could be great" star star star star star_border Would benefit from some form of grip (slightly ribbed moulding maybe?) to aid opening. Also just a variety of sizes would be good, rather than specifying yellow for lemons etc. I actually use the lemon one for onions as often have small red onions that are way too small for the brown onion holder. That said they work a treat and I'm wondering if you could use the avocado one to transport a pear for packed lunches, as pears damage so easily in transit. Lakeland - would it fit? support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review. We're delighted you find this so useful and we'll be sure to pass your suggestion along to our Buyers. We haven't tested the avocado stretch pod for any other fruits however you could certainly try it.
"Good product" star star star star star_border These pods are better than they seem when you first unwrap them. Very effective so far and easy to clean. Too much packaging and annoying sticky labels as others have commented. Also if you didn't market each one for a specific food I'm sure you'd sell more as the only differences are in size (and shape for the avocado one). I find the yellow one a bit large for most lemons I use but perfect for oranges: it would be nice if you introduced a smaller one to the range.
"Room for improvement" star star star star_border star_border I have purchased several of these pods. The edges are smooth and curved and they can be tricky to open. The lemon one appeared to be stuck and I had to ease it open with a knife. I do not understand why the design leaves so much air around the item stored. The lemon looks completely sealed in the picture but on close examination there is a substantial ring of air left inside the plastic rim. Lastly why are so many unnecessary plastic stickers used in the packaging leaving a horrible residue on the product? support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear this hasn't quite met your expectations but this will leave less air compared to being stored in a food container. If you'd like something to cover the lemon which is still eco friendly, the beeswax wraps we sell could be suitable. We've passed all your comments along to our team and as we offer a three year guarantee, this can be returned if you'd prefer.
"Great idea!" star star star star star Love this - have bought another instore for my daughter's Christmas stocking - and have also got the avocado one. So much better than sticking half a lemon in a ramekin as I was before.
"Good but could be better" star star star star_border star_border Yes, it really does keep your cut lemon fresher for longer, compared to cling film. Plus, it's easy to clean. Suggested improvement: there is no texture or grip for twisting it open and closed. It's more an irritation for me but someone with a weak grip may find it tricky.
