Kuhn Rikon Auto Safety Lidlifter Can Opener

Make fiddling around with awkward can openers a thing of the past and treat your tins to the Kuhn Rikon Safety Can Opener. Featuring a mechanism that automatically and securely attaches to tins, it makes opening them quick, safe and effortless. With a smooth, easy operation, it leaves behind no sharp edges, and doesn’t come into contact with the contents of the tin, so it’s more hygienic than other can openers too. It also features a pair of built-in mini pincers so you don’t have to touch the lid to transfer it to the bin.
Easy to use
Simply place the can opener on top of your tin and twist the knob until it has gone all the way around; twist the knob the opposite way to release the can opener from the tin, press the little white button to open the mini ‘pliers’, place them over the edge of the tin lid and release the button to grip it and lift it safely away.

I am so impressed with this. I have had several can openers over the last few years, some left jagged edges, some sharp edges, some broke after a few uses. But I cannot recommend this one enough, no sharp edges and so easy to use. Well worth the price.
Great tin opener. Pretty expensive but all the cheaper ones I've bought in the past have fallen apart, this will last, probably forever. Buy cheap buy twice as my friend is always telling me
I've tried several tin openers over the years and I have to say that this is the best so far. It is robust and effiecient.
it opens cans but is awkward to use for ring-pulls
I bought this for an older person thinking it would be easy to use. It isn't! You have to make a mental note of where you start opening from so that you don’t go round twice. Even when you complete the full circle, the lid doesn't come off easily and remains stuck to the contents until you manage to release. On a positive note, the cut edge is very smooth. Finally, do not submerge to wash - it ends up with water 'inside' and takes no end of shaking to try to remove. Overall disappointing, especially for the price.
