GreenPan’s Featherweights Casserole is, as its name implies, so much easier to handle – in fact, it’s 50% lighter than a standard cast iron pan.
Cooking as good as it looks, and at 5.3 litres, big enough to feed the whole family, this smart grey casserole (or Dutch oven) is made from die-cast aluminium so not only is it light, it also distributes heat quickly and evenly for consistent results, even when cooking at low temperatures. Add to this the self-basting double-wall insulated lid, which ensures succulent food every time; the metal utensil-friendly diamond-enhanced ceramic non-stick; and not forgetting the removable silicone handle covers for easy handling, and you have a versatile casserole that’s good for everything from stews to curries to risotto to meatballs to stir-fries and so much more. Lightweight
Because these pans are made from die-cast aluminium, they’re up to 50% lighter than standard cast iron casseroles. They heat up quickly and evenly too – up to 3 times faster – and retain heat efficiently so they’re good for cooking at lower temperatures for longer.
Metal utensil-safe, non-toxic ceramic non-stick
GreenPan have used a brilliantly clever triple layer system to keep their Featherweights casseroles in tip-top condition no matter what your utensils are made of. On top there’s a coating of Thermolon Infinity Professional ceramic non-stick – fabulously effective and durable but with no chemical nasties; next, a layer of diamond crystals – literally rock hard protection for the surface of the pan; and finally, a patented reinforcing Scratch Guard layer.
Insulated lids
Double-walled to retain heat, the lids on these casseroles have a special pattern on the underside which makes them self-basting, so your food will stay moist and tender.
Energy-saving induction base
A patented base with Magneto induction technology ensures super-efficient performance on any hob.
Dishwasher safe
So there are no worries about adding your pans in the dishwasher with the rest of the washing-up, GreenPan have made sure the Featherweight range can cope with everything a modern home can throw at them, although hand-washing is recommended to prolong their life.
Free from PFA, PFOA, lead and cadmium.
Suitable for all hobs including induction.

A Belgian company, GreenPan is the brainchild of two school friends, Jan Helskens and Wim De Veirman, who set out to create a greener, non-toxic alternative to conventional non-stick pan coatings – and 10 years on, their pans are loved all around the world.
