The pressure cooker lid has four safety features – a pressure regulator/weight valve, visual pressure indicator, quick steam release and a back-up safety device that releases steam if the pressure regulator should fail – and it’s really easy to open and close. To remove the pressure cooker lid, simply turn the knob on the top anti-clockwise and gently lift off; to close, turn the knob clockwise.
