Created with a lovely tactile curve to the underside, the Robert Welch Pebble design ensures that it’s always easy to pick up, and the oak used to create it has been carefully chosen, graded, dried, hand-finished and oiled to make a lasting piece that will be useful and bring you pleasure every time it’s used.

Food safe

Treated with food-safe oil to help the oak keep its colour and stay hydrated – this lovely chopping board is ideal for presenting cheeses, antipasti and rustic loaves to guests. And it makes a great bread board in your kitchen too.

About Oak

Famously strong, heavy and durable, oak (or Quercus, to give it its Latin name) is revered in British culture because of its associations with longevity, steadfastness and toughness. A deciduous hardwood, it is naturally quite pale in colour with a prominent grain and, although it’s renowned for construction in houses and boat-building, its anti-fungal properties make it ideal for use in our kitchens and dining rooms.

Please note: it’s recommended that wooden boards should be stacked with the grain running horizontally, especially when drying, so that any residual damp cannot ‘track’ up the grain and cause expansion which may eventually encourage the board to split.
