We’re always on the lookout for indoor airers that offer something a little different, and this Italian Towel Rail Airer, which hooks over a heated bathroom towel rail, certainly does that, swinging quickly into action to get your clothes dry faster.
Dry clothes more quickly
Radiator airers are really handy when you want to get laundry dry in a hurry, keeping your clothes close to the heat but without the crumpling and scorching you can get if you lay them directly on top. But while it’s easy to find airers that hook over ‘normal’ radiators, it can be trickier to find ones for towel rails – which is exactly where this one sits.
Space-saving, time-saving design
Designed and made in Italy, this elegant airer hooks into place over the round bars of a heated towel rail and sits neatly out of the way until it’s needed. The two shelves then fold out easily, and fold back up out of the way when you’re done – so you’re ready to dry in an instant, and without the constant getting out, putting up, taking down and storing associated with most airers.
Easy to fit
Simply slot the heat-resistant, hooks over the top bar of your towel rail and let the uprights of the frame come to rest against the bars below. The hooks are plastic-coated to prevent scratches, while little rubber bungs at the bottom of the frame stop the airer sliding around once in place, and also help protect the lower rails against marks and scuffs.
Built to last
A solid beechwood frame, powder-coated aluminium shelf supports and strong drying rails ensure this airer will last for a long time, and stay looking good too.
Easy to store
If you only want to use it occasionally and choose not to leave it in place on your towel rail, the hooks swivel round and the frame can be folded down to just 3.5cm deep, making it incredibly easy to store – just rest against a wall or slot into a narrow gap.

We installed this in an airing cupboard six months ago as we wanted something that would fold away against the wall neatly when not in use. We wall-mounted it which was easy - we just needed to drill holes through the frame and use appropriate screws. It's been used frequently and is holding up extremely well. We're very happy with the quality.
This airer works really well, and it is good that it can be folded down when not in use. I would recommend measuring your towel rail prior to buying as the hooks are quite close to the edge, so would not fit a smaller rail. Was considerably cheaper than similar items on the market, but works really well, and does not give the impression of a bathroom full of washing.
