Moth Stop Carpet Moth Trap

Product number: 26039

You’ve taken time and care to choose the perfect one, then you notice little threadbare patches in that rug you’ve spent good money on… The low-flying Textile, or Carpet, Moth is a common household pest, but our dedicated Moth Stop Carpet Moth Trap will be your first alert before the pesky little blighters can attack your flooring and furnishings.

Attracts and traps carpet moths without harsh chemicals

Emitting pheromones that adult carpet moths find irresistible, this moth trap lures them towards the sticky surface inside, where they’ll become trapped, alerting you to an infestation before their fibre-munching larvae destroy your carpets.

Active for up 8 weeks

The pheromones in the replaceable sticky board remain effective for up to 8 weeks and, so you can be sure you’re always on alert, an end-of-life indicator will tell you when it needs to be replaced.

Small and discreet

Working hard while remaining inconspicuous, this slimline trap can be laid on the floor or placed out of sight under a settee, and has sticky pads should you choose to position it on a skirting board.

Helps prevent damage to carpets

Please note: this is a ‘capture and alert’ product to help prevent damage from the UK’s growing carpet moth and beetle infestation; to treat an already-present infestation, please see our Moth Stop Carpet & Fabric Spray. This trap can also be used after treatments to monitor how long they remain effective.

"No Escape"

Lakeland moth traps really work. I have tried other makes but these are by far the best. I use Lakeland traps for clothing and carpets and was astonished to find the carpet trap absolutely covered in moths within a couple of weeks. I then used the spray to add further protection to my woollen carpet and am absolutely satisfied. Thank you Lakeland for yet another excellent product.

"Good product"

I was not expecting much from this product as I had read a poor review, but within minutes of activating the trap it had attracted a moth. It now has a few trapped on the fly paper. I was able to use spray as well for added protection. The moths are definitely attracted to the chemicals. I am very pleased with it.

"Definitely works"

I've had clothes moth traps for a while but found issues on carpets for the first time ever in my long (ish) life and in quite a number of homes, plus moths on walls seemed to drop down if they escaped. It definitely catches moths but I assume this is the same as the clothes moth trap and only catches males. Hoping, together with the spray it will help to eradicate them

"No luck with moth traps"

A year or two ago I bought a clothes moth trap in the hope of catching the moths fluttering round the living room. It didn’t catch any. Maybe not clothes moths, then, I thought. I recently got a carpet moth trap because the carpet has a high % of wool. Still no moths in the trap. Are there other kinds of little brown/grey moths likely to be breeding in my living room, I wonder? The traps may work well if you are trying to trap the right kind of moth, or maybe mine are super moths that can tell the difference between pheromones from living females and whatever they put on the traps!

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that it hasn't caught any moths. The carpet moths have different flying patterns than clothes moths so these traps need to be positioned low down to the carpet. The pheromones in the trap are specific to the carpet moth so it may also be that you have a different kind of moth. We'd recommend using our Moth Stop moth killer and freshner, product number 24037. We’ve sent you an email to help further.

"Does not work"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I bought these so as not to use chemicals in my home. Its a lovely theory using pheromones, but it doesn't work. We have a known infestation of carpet moths and not one single one has been attracted to the traps even though we catch a number of them with a butterfly net every night. Not up to Lakeland's usual standards.

We’re very sorry to hear the trap didn't meet your expectations but am glad we've been able to resolve this for you.
