Mess-free Long-handled Cleaning Scoop
Fresh coffee, made with grounds in your favourite coffee press or machine, is really enjoyable, but the after-cuppa clean-up less so. You might have resorted to scraping around your cafetière with a spoon, which risks scratching surfaces, fumbled with a spatula or even admitted defeat and rinsed them out with water before tipping them into your sink… All really messy methods that leave you cursing your coffee cravings! This long, narrow scoop reaches easily into your coffee maker, where the flexible silicone edges and a deep scoop head swiftly clean the grounds away, leaving no mess or residue behind.
Removes Coffee Grounds, Tea Leaves and More
With a long, soft-grip handle, it slots really easily into any French press, cold brew coffee maker or carafe, and the flexible edges and lip on the deep silicone scoop hug the surface as you swipe it round for really effective pickup. Shaped to fit into corners for thorough cleaning, it picks up all those grounds that usually end up washed down your plughole, so you can just tip them straight into your kitchen compost bin (or even pop them on top of the soil on your houseplants) instead. We’ve found that it’s helpful for loads of other tricky cleaning tasks too: swiping tea leaves from a pot, getting the very last bit from the bottom of tall jars or smoothie makers, cleaning hard-to-reach bases in food processors, blenders and more.
Easy to Clean
Once you’ve scooped all those used grounds from your coffee maker, just rinse the nylon and silicone scoop, or give it a turn in the dishwasher.

I now use loose tea leaves (cheaper and much more flavour) and needed a tool to scrape the leaves from the stainless steal infuser. This is a match made in heaven! I bought this one at a reduced price; I'm so impressed that I've bought another (full price) for a friend. A clever design (as always with OXO) to include a flexible 'lip'.
One of the least favourite tasks has become a breeze - this is a simple but great kitchen aid. My often used cafetière is cleaned of old coffee grounds in a jiffy, without any risk of damaging the flask with sharp spoons (that never got into the crevices anyway).
This scoop works so well for our cafetière and food processor that I have become quite evangelical about it. I have been buying them for all my favourite people. Bizarrely, I have only seen it in Lakeland. Good for them!
