We know that ironing isn’t the most glamorous or elegant of ways to spend your time, but there are ironing boards and ironing boards, and this Foppapedretti Italian Folding Ironing Station, with its Italian-designed elegance and host of helpful features, adds a whole lot of pretty alongside the practical.
Italian Elegance
Beautifully crafted in Italy from golden-hued beechwood and anodised aluminium, with a gorgeous green cover featuring a decorative tree motif, its sleek design is testament to the Italian passion for the ‘bella figura’, but it’s far from being a case of form over function.
Versatile
Offering lots more features and functionality than a standard ironing board, it’s been carefully designed to make the ironing mountain more manageable. Strong but incredibly lightweight, it’s easy to handle despite its size – there’s no wrestling with heavy cast iron here. The legs fold out and the table locks securely in place, providing a large, stable surface for all your ironing and pressing needs. There’s a generously sized iron rest that comfortably holds any standard steam iron, and if you use a steam generator, it can accommodate that too – in fact any iron up to 5kg in weight.
Steam and Stash
To help you stay on top of the heap, there’s a clever cotton ‘hammock’ at the bottom to hold whatever you’re ironing. Wide and deep enough to easily hold two piles, it means you can keep both your still-wrinkled and perfectly pressed piles separated and within easy reach.
Easy to Store
When its work is done, it folds down to just 15cm deep, making it really easy to store – just rest against a wall or slot into a narrow gap.

I sore this and had it. The surfuse for ironing is great and takes me less time. Is easy to put up and as i sit down i fined it great.
This ironing board/station has made a huge difference to my attitude towards ironing. No more teetering piles of clothes, gone is the chore of fitting shirts onto a narrow board and ending up with more creases than I started with! The Foppapedretti station has ample room to store clothes and a generous ironing surface. The iron stand is well thought out, there's no chance of it slipping off the board. Materials are top quality, it's stable - no annoying rocking if you get over enthusiastic with the iron. Also easy to put up and take down - no chance of trapped fingers. Highly recommended.
My wife read about this ironing board in the catalogue and was immediately impressed. I was more sceptical but, as she does almost all of the ironing in our house, I was persuaded and we sent for one. It is just as good as Lakeland claim.
This sturdy looking wide board folds to a lower height than most boards which is really useful for our cupboard space. My only gripe is the folding mechanism means it's not possible to pull clothing over the full length of the board, but really that's just my ironing style!
