The A-frame ladder-style airer is a design classic, so we wanted to add one to our laundry range – and we wanted it to be made to our exacting specifications and super-versatile – so we couldn’t be happier with the results… a contemporary take on the classic.
Generous drying room
Offering up to 5 metres of drying space, the rungs on one side are widely spaced while the other set is grouped more closely – great for drying a mix of bulkier items and finer fabrics, and ensuring the air can circulate freely round your laundry as it dries. And when it’s folded for storage, the rungs line up perfectly, because we wanted to eliminate that super-irritating step effect that can trap fingers when you’re folding it shut.
Contemporary Styling
We wanted to get the form just as right as the function, so we went with beautiful beechwood to fashion the elegant frame. And rather than wooden rungs that can leave marks on your clothes, ours are made from rust-free, stain-resistant aluminium, and each one is neatly finished with a ‘stud’ at either end.
Compact Design
Easy to move, open and close, it folds down to just 6cm deep so it’s incredibly small to store once your washing’s dry, slotting into even narrow gaps against a wall or between furniture.
Opening range is between 55cm and 75cm (approx. 28”) x 106.5cm H. Closed 56 x 6 x 112cm H. Maximum load 8kg.
