The flexible, large Flume drainage mat from Joseph Joseph creates extra draining space for washing-up almost anywhere.
Its soft, grey rubbery fins cushion delicate glassware and china while ensuring that water drains freely into the central channel, and stays put until you’re ready to empty it away.
Ideal as a protective surface for Granny’s bone china tea set, or to extend the sink-side drying space in a small kitchen, caravan or motorhome where space is limited.
Once your dishes have been put away, just fold the mat slightly and pour away the collected water.

After less than 6 months of use it’s mouldy. Gets dirty after a few uses, and is difficult to clean properly. Doesn’t stop dishes from slipping over, and doesn’t drain adequately. Have brought another drainer as this makes the job harder…

Needed a mat to protect my new quartz worktop and read the reviews of the large mat and they were all positive. Could not be happier, it’s easy to drain and easy to clean and protects my crockery once washed
It does not drain the water but stores it…thus causing mould.!!! So Cross I wasted the money….I have put up with it for about a year, but despite putting it in the dishwasher to clean regularly, I can’t rid the mould. I see they have now brought out a version with a draining channel/outlet….congratulations!!! I will try this as the material is good.

Excellent product and water drains away well
I bought this mat for my new (grey inspired) kitchen. I thought it was good looking and not cheap looking. Unfortunately, after quite a short time, we started noticing big black spots down the grooves which could not be removed. Not even with Miltons Fluid. It’s a shame really, as it’s very good looking. Not fit for purpose. Had to throw it away because too ashamed for visitors to see. Wish I had known it came with a 3-year guarantee!
