Full Circle Fresh Air Compost Collector

I would definitely recommend this product. The previous council supplied bin was fine, but had to leave the lid open to reduce the bad odours and even then the compost bags would become moist very quickly and we were emptying the bin 2 to 3 times a week, sometimes bags only 1/3 full. I was so pleased to find the 'Full circle fresh air compost collector', it truly allows the air to circulate under and around the bag and the perforated lid allows the air to circulate above the food and no odour!! We now empty a full, dry bag once a week. Excellent product!! Bought one for my mom in law.

Such a shame that this product will no longer be stocked by Lakeland, although it is rather expensive at the full price. Worth it though for no smells and no condensation. I use the brown paper bags for food caddies sold by my local supermarket. They suit this bin's rectangular shape very well, although I have to fold them down below the dotted line indicated. I seem to get far more into the rectangular shaped bag and the rectangles fit far more conveniently into the larger bin put out for emptying each week. I put shiny card from food packaging underneath the bag to catch any drips. It works brilliantly!

Bigger than expected so disappointed that my Council provided compost bags don't fit without bother{I am obliged to use them or they won't collect}. Not Lakeland's fault, but clearer sizing in inches as well as metric would help avoid mistakes. Design issues 1. installing a bag is difficult if you have dexterity issues with hands 2. I had to buy a drip tray as the bottom is open, so if the bag leaks it goes over the counter. It looks tidy by the sink, the one push open is easy, and food waste doesn't smell as it does in a closed container. Overall, I prefer it to my old one by a mile.
