Cleverly designed to let water drain right through, this range of clear accessories from Umbra has super-strong suction cups which ‘lock’ to surfaces and allow you to create handy, removable storage in wet or dry areas of your bathroom. Suitable for use on high gloss tiles, glass or mirrors. Plastic with rubber suction cups.

I think I bought this in May for our new shower and so far it works just fine. Only time it has come off was when my husband decided it wanted to be in another place. In fact it works so well I'm buying the little flatter one for underneath the bathroom sink so I can hide the spanner that normally permanently sits on the skirting shelf to switch the water off.
Did not stick to the wall despite following the instructions to the letter - the lever seems far too loose when pressure is applied and as a result did not create sufficient suction. Fell off the wall after a few seconds (unladen) and split across the length of the plastic basket. Would recommend finding an alternative with better reviews.

I was surprised and amazed to see that this product did not work as Lakeland are always very good. I was a little concerned that it only had one suction pad, and I am afraid to say that it fell off three times even after cleaning the shower wall. The last time it fell off it broke and I was concerned that it had damaged my shower floor, luckily it didn't. This product I am afraid was totally useless as I found the one suction pad was not enough to hold what the instruction said - 2lbs!
We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem. Our buying team have recommended that the suction cups must be wet and applied to a clean, flat surface. If the surface is textured the suction cups will not grip correctly.The cushioning plugs should be applied to the sides of the product which are in contact with the wall - placing the plugs in position use a twisting and pushing motion. Like others, I have found this product to be utter rubbish. It stuck to the shower wall, I put one bottle of shampoo in it, and it crashed into the shower tray, shattering itself. I note the buying team suggest wetting the suction cup. Nowhere is this suggested in the inadequate instructions provided with the product. I am really disappointed and angry. So much so that I have gone to the trouble of registering on this website just so that I could write this review. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I fitted this basket according to instructions (clean smooth surface, wet cup, lock lever in lock position, cushion pads on back) gave it a tug and it seemed to be holding so I loaded in my products, after a few seconds it crashed onto the shower cubicle floor and smashed! quickest £15 down the drain ever!! I have contacted Lakeland for refund.
