This is a superb purchase: no more "soggy bottom" when you empty it as the lid lets the contents breathe without any noticeable odour. My old one was rectangular and my scraps went everywhere. Being round, my handfuls of peelings go straight in with no escapees! I should have bought this ages ago but at half price now an even better buy. A worthwhile purchase. There is a circular carbon filter that should be periodically replaced. It will be simple to cut economical replacements from a cooker hood carbon filter pad.
