The silica crystals absorb up to 125ml of moisture and turn from orange to clear when they’re full – just check the window to see when it’s ready to be recharged, pop it in the microwave for up to 5 minutes on a medium heat setting or out in the sunshine to restore then reuse.

My husband informed me that compared to his previous old sock filled with cat litter, this performed far better... and it's allowed in the family microwave to refresh!
It’s effective in absorbing the moisture in the car & began working straight away when in place.
My car isn’t garaged so I keep it covered as I don’t drive it much at the moment. When it’s really cold I had more condensation on inside of my windscreen than on the outside. When I do take my car out I put my dehumidifier in the microwave giving it a couple of goes and no more having to wipe my windscreen.
.......recent purchase. I have just “recharged” in the microwave following the instructions, and checking the colour change of the crystals. Cautious, it took 3 times of 5 minutes each on a medium heat. It has worked well in my car, definitely reducing the humidity and condensation which has tended to build up more as not travelling so often in “Covid-19 Lockdown” periods. I recommend.
i was unsure whether to order this as it had mixed reviews but backed by the Lakeland guarantee, i went ahead. I have been really impressed with the results. No more ice on the inside of the screen and so easy to recharge following the instructions of others- 5 minute bursts in the microwave followed by removal to allow steam to evaporate on a radiator. it took 3 cycles to return to orange. Brilliant!
