I read the review about footmarks showing and this is true, but I don't think this is a problem. The main reason for having a runner like this is to keep wet and dirty footmarks from the rest of the house and it does this job really well.

The quality is excellent but this is too big to go in the washing machine. It also takes days to dry as you can't tumble it with the rubber backing. You'd really need 4 small mats - 2 in use while the other two are drying.
