2 Tier Storage Shelf

Bought this on the spur of the moment after seeing it in the shop and without reading the other reviews. It took me about half an hour to assemble the thing, every time one shelf clicked into place the other one collapsed. However I hate being beaten and persevered and did manage to do it eventually. Useful shelf and it will be used but a very frustrating item to put together. Not what I expect from such a great Company as Lakeland. Time to improve the design I think.

It was very tricky to assemble these shelves. In fact it took two people, and was very frustrating as the lower shelf would not click into place. When assembled it is a good product, however, I was expecting to be able to put spice jars on it and the shelves are too close together to fit them in. But if all you want them for is very small things, once assembled, they are fine.

Having purchased two of these storage shelves I set about trying to assemble them. The instructions were very basic so I assumed they would be easy to put together. How wrong I was. After half an hour and bits flying all over the kitchen I decided to give in and get someone to help me. After 45 minutes of frustration, my daughter and I decided to give up.When we got one side on the other would come off. We followed the instructions using a structure to support one of the sides but to no avail. Eventually managed to put it together. The second one is definitely going back. Too hard to assemble.

Not impossible - but very, very hard despite following the instructions carefully. I was foolish enough to buy two of them. Still, it tested mine and my husband's teamwork and co-ordination skills over a couple of evenings.

If I'd read the reviews first I would not have bought this, but sadly it was an impulse buy. I consider myself competent and am usually very good at following instructions. However I have just spent an incredibly frustrating half hour with parts of this simple-looking shelf system pinging all over the kitchen, despite reading the additional instructions provided in response to other frustrated customers. I have admitted defeat and will be returning it asap.
