Designed in Australia where water shortage is a perennial problem, the Hughie captures and reuses water that would normally go down the drain... and whilst we don’t get the summers they do, we see a real benefit to bringing Hughie to the UK. Made from lightweight recyclable plastic, it has sturdy fold-away handles and a plug and drainer as well as a spout, so you can either pour the water into a concentrated area or remove the plug and the drainer will act like a sprinkler head for watering the garden. Portable for use around the home and perfect for camping and caravanning enthusiasts.

"Great concept, shame about the leaks"

Purchased this item a few months back and just started to use it since the waterbutt run out. I've used the Hughie to catch water as I'm washing fruit & veg or running the kitchen tap til cool water starts to run. Unfortunately I've found the Hughie leaks from the plug hole every time we use it. If you can keep it in your sink then it might still work for you, but we don't have room for our regular washing up bowl and the Hughie in there together. I have to run out the door with a tea towel under the Hughie so I'm not dripping water everywhere! Such a shame, it was such a good concept!

"disappointed"

I thought the concept was brilliant, I thought I would use the Hughie to water plants outside etc. When I tried to do this if the sink wasn't perfectly balanced water sloshed all over the floor. Also the plug gets knocked out EVERY time I use the sink. Over promised and under delivered. Having said that, I think it would be great for camping.
