Curved Board Tidy Dish Drainer Rack - Grey

I have been looking for a good efficient dish drainer for years and one of the reviews gave me some hope. This truly is a brilliant product. Amazing how much you can drain on it. The sides are high enough for tall plates, the glasses and cups really fit on the sides and everything just stays in place. It is a real pleasure to assemble all the dishes and cutlery. I was none too sure about this little fellah at first, he seemed a bit flimsy, but then he looked, well, kinda cute, and began punching way above his weight. He takes large plates and chopping boards, and despite thinking there didn't seem to be enough room for mugs, soon discovered the versatility of the curved side extensions (?!) on which I can hook mugs safely, and even rest larger utensils like wooden spoons and small sieves, and, yes, Lakeland plastic bags washed out to re-use! The plastic drip tray is much better than my old stainless steel one, which needed constant wiping.

I have recently bought this item to replace a similar item purchased from you six years ago. It is smart and easy to clean, but when I first used it this morning I found it difficult to stand a glass or a cup to drain. This was not a problem in my old drainer.

I noticed this is half price. I am guessing that this is being discontinued. I decided to ignore reviews and buy it several months ago. I love the look of it but it is very flimsy and nothing stands up in the cutlery holder. I decided not to return it as I could not find anything else suitable size and look wise. I could not recommend it even at half price and my rating is based alone for the look of the product. I am surprised that this was not tested properly by the buyers which I would have expected from a Lakeland product.

My draining area is to the right of my sink. If this drainer is placed with plastic cutlery section near the sink,the upstands for plates/boards lean the wrong way and if you have the base near enough to drain into the sink your hand catches on the cutlery section and the whole thing tips up.Reverse it and you have to reach around plates to cutlery section and again risk tipping the whole thing over. I ordered it online, if I had actually seen and handled it I would not have purchased it. Poor design and not worth £32.99. Will return it on my next visit to a Lakeland store. Very disappointed.
