Heats up in no time & the intelli heat keeps a constant temp.Do note that the description of "even a timer to switch off automatically" actually means it switches off after 9 hours & that is it, no other timer facility. Other variants of this blanket made by dreamland may not have the fitted sheet, just ties, but do have a timer shut off facility of either 1 or 9 hours. I preferred the fitted sheet option when I discovered this so kept it, but was a bit disappointed as a little misleading. Would be nice to see left hand control option too(as you lie on your back) .No more cold feet for me!

There are very few things that you buy during your life that you would take on a desert island with you, well this is one of them ! ! The initial cost is well worth paying for the comfort. It doesn't move, is very easy to put on or take off, and you can wash it as well. A definite 5 stars of luxury. Loretta

This is the first time I have bought an electric blanket and I am absolutely thrilled. It is very comfortable and the different heat levels make it very easy to choose a temperature which will suit your requirements. The increased heat for feet is an excellent idea. I do not leave it on all night but it retains the heat well. I have not found it necessary to turn it on again during the night. I cannot praise this product enough and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Having now used this product several times I am well pleased. It fits well so doesn't wrinkle at all and the control is very versatile to suit all occasions.

This blanket is perfect for me. I love that I can have it on for a short while on the max 6 before switching off and getting into bed to a really cosy very warm bed. After that I have not needed to have it on one of the lower settings overnight because the fleecy cover retains the heat. Still, if I’m not feeling well or it’s extremely cold I have the option of using it overnight. It fits my mattress well even with an added topper on it. Excellent.
