Airing Cupboard Moth Killer and Freshener

This has worked brilliantly in my wardrobe very impressed. Easy to fix.

I have bought these regularly over many years. One year I bought several of the MOTH STOP make and they were terribly hard to activate. I was bashing them against a piece of wood which sometimes worked or I found someone strong but it was still hard. They are probably all made in the same factory but I have been much luckier with the arcana make, so far I manage to press the plunger down on these. I still have one MOTH STOP left but am reluctant to open it. Lakeland are so good I should have sent the others back. I’m about to order more acana ones. Great customer service Lakeland.

Several reviewers have said they couldn't get the plunger down and some had broken the unit. Like them I couldn't press it with my fingers. However, I found that if I held the black plastic just below the red part with a pair of pliers and tapped the red top with a mallet it went down easily to start the unit working. It was then easy to fit into the airing cupboard using the small mounting plate. We haven't had it long and hope that it kills off the moths well as the alternative of just spraying a mist into the cupboard from a sprayer doesn't seem too effective

Before buying this I read other reviews which said it was difficult to activate. This is certainly true, I had to use a knife to cut the connecting plastic before I could activate it. However, once I had it open and the plunger fully immersed, it worked very quickly. There is very little odour and within a matter of days I stopped seeing moths in my airing cupboard. I would recommend this but care is needed when opening.

I have used this product before and know it to work. However...like many other customers I find the plunger impossible to push down. I had to get scissors to cut the little tabs before I could push it down.
