I have laquered veneer oak cabinet and had been cleaning them happily with diluted dish washing liquid till I found out something was going wrong as the surface started feeling rough. (They are not the glossy units) This does a fair job of cleaning without leaving streaks and the cabinet surface feels smooth. You do need a lot of product though.
