Lakeland Food-Saver Waxed Paper Roll 30cm x 25m

Just purchased this as I needed waxed paper, lady in the shop showed me this and told me it was waxed both sides, one side is definitely waxed, but the other side doesn't appear to be waxed at all, it has a matt finish. I'll make use of this food paper but would not be inclined to purchase it again. I was really looking for a wax paper similar to the wax paper that covers the PLAIN loves of bread or the type that cornflakes are packed in. I'll just have to make do and mend with the "Food saver paper roll"

I have used this product for a number of years but I do think that the current version is very poor in comparison to the previous one. It states it is "double sided waxed paper" but I feel only one side is waxed. I have always used it to store icing run-outs and icing lace without a problem, they stick to the 'new' product. I won't be purchasing this product again.

I have used this product for a considerable length of time. The previous product was superior to the one currently available. I will no longer be purchasing this item as the current version does not do what it is designed to do. Bring back the original format which actually worked.

I never had similar paper to use on my leftovers in the fridge. I bought this roll only a month ago, but use it ALL THE TIME and I find it perfect! Regular paper bag will leave the contests too dry and cling film too moist (especially cheese). This is somewhere in between - perfect!

We bought an obscene amount of Bleu d'Auvergne cheese at a continental market on 12 November last year. A kilo of it ... how greedy is that? Very expensive, so wrapped it in this paper after we'd had our first attack on it. Had some more tonight (the Blue Cheese demon strikes when you least expect it, doesn't it?) and it's still perfect, almost 3 months after we bought it. About 250g to go, wrapped up lovingly again in FS Paper. How does it work?!!! Lakeland, please tell me?!
