Rowenta® Compact Garment Valet IS6200M1

Getting my ironing board out and standing for ages killed so I decided to purchase this. It is expensive compared to a normal iron but boy is it GREAT. I can zip through 30 shirts in an hour! It takes a little getting used to so you don't scold, and it could do with being a little higher for taller people, but I get round that by hanging the hanger over the top where the steam head hangs. Pockets, buttons, transfer prints, labels and pleats not a problem at all. Large easy to fill water container. No effort to iron the steam does all the work. Wheels away for storage and done. I LOVE IT.

I love this product, makes de-creasing shirts, tops etc. a breeze. I haven't tried trousers as yet but find it so easy to use and no heavy lifting of the ironing board either. I would recommend this without a doubt.

I've only had two attempts at it & so far am left underwhelmed. It's too short to hang trousers on, the crease attachment needs forcing on (i thought it was going to break) & the hanger bits at the top get in the way. It's good at getting out creases in suit jackets and knits. everything else I've been meh with. I tried viscose and other manmade fibre shirts, with button fronts and slip ons, a heavy silk shirt, a heavy cotton tshirt & I put all back in the ironing pile. I'll keep it as it did steam up the suit jackets nicely & liked protecting my knits but otherwise I'll stick to the iron.

We bought this on Saturday at the Windermere branch. Quite frankly, it would have been better to buy a steam kettle and utilise that in steaming our clothing. However, where it seems to excel is in depositing large amounts of water on the floor, despite the knob on the water reservoir being tightened as much as humanly possible. So, in return for our money and efforts, we have a bunch of soaked towels that were used to mop up the floor and garments that are almost as creased as they were before they met the Rowenta Compact Garment Valet.
