iRobot Roomba 760

I have had the robot a couple of months now and love it. It copes with wooden and stone floors well and I am always amazed by how much dirt it collects when on a seemingly fairly clean short piled woollen carpet. Don't get me wrong you will still need to hang on to a 'proper' vac because there will always be stairs/small areas that it doesn't fit but for a general everyday clean up it is brilliant. I would imagine it would be a boon for elderly/disabled people who can't manage a heavy vac but want good results from a lightweight. Even the dog has stopped being terrified of it!

What a great little machine does a grand job,we leave him programmed to clean the upstairs every day,empty his box when he has finished and he is already to go again,my sister in law is well impressed and will probably get one,from Lakeland of course.

Well, only day 1 and already I too have become very sad naming the thing and feeling affection for it. It is brilliant. If you too are renovating a house, have a giant dog, three messy children and are a slovenly housekeeper like me then do not hesistate, order now. It cleans much better than I can with a another brand vacuum and doesnt hurt my back. Really impressed with how it cleans corners given that it's circular. Yes it needs emptying each day but it's easy to do and equally satisfying/shaming to see how much it has picked up. Only gripe: no written instructions, have to load dvd to check anything.

Roomba does a cracking job of cleaning the floors and carpets. Then afterwards he goes back into this "basket" for a nap. He manages to get every scrap off the shiny tiles and weaves in and out the chairs and other obstructions. I was amazed to see that he can even squeeze himself under the tv cabinet and settee. I have used the timer facility and virtual wall with success. The only place he can't go is the stairs. The only improvement I would make is the lack of instructions in the box. DVD is a help but paper instructions should be included. Thanks to Lakeland for website PDF copy.

I cannot believe how much dust he picks up and how he tootles into the bedroom first thing in the morning and starts whizzing about hunting for debris. I have to admit I was sceptical; a small circular robot that hoovers the entire apartment and then trundles back to its docking pod to recharge. I leave “Eric” to wander around terminating dust bunnies whilst I’m at work. I cannot rate this product highly enough it’s just so efficient and it’s fascinating to watch. He is easy to empty and the carpets look amazing. If you are contemplating getting one, don’t hesitate, it’s worth every penny.
