When the dish rack’s overflowing, here’s an absorbent mat that’s the alternative to soggy tea towels on the worktop. With microfibre on one side and mesh on the other, it lets air circulate so glasses and pots dry quicker, dries in super-fast time and folds away neatly when not in use.

I was lent one by a friend when my dishwasher was out of action, and I don't have a draining board. It was great. I put wet dishes on it straight from the sink, and they drained really well. Unlike the tea towels I had been using which were quickly sopping wet, the mat was barely wet, and dried rapidly. I am now ordering one for myself.
I was very, very disappointed with this mat. The corners did not lie flat and it looked cheap and nasty. (except it wasn't cheap). The underside isn't waterproof so the worktop stayed damp. Not what I wanted at all. In fact I have now binned it after only a couple of weeks use.
