Bissell® Featherweight Vacuum Cleaner 5 "Ideal for hard surfaces" Fiona 22 January 2013 I bought this vacuum cleaner for my downstairs dining room and conservatory which is laminate and tile flooring. I wanted it to pick up dog hair etc, and it does the job very well. Other reviews said the cleaner was noisy but I have not found it any noisier than any other cleaner. I would not use if for very large areas as I do not think the engine would manage, but for relatively small areas it is excellent. Only problem I have found is taking the cleaner apart to empty the dust, it is a bit fiddly and I keep expecting the clip to break. Service from Lakeland was excellent as well.
Bissell® Featherweight Vacuum Cleaner 5 "Very Good Product" PHILIP JAMES 05 November 2012 We purchased this item to augment our ageing vacuum cleaner which is heavy and a job to hump around. All our rooms have laminate flooring and I have found this brilliant for an every day cleaner, and cleaning up crumbs and things left behind.The plus points, it is very light, it does have a good suction for 140 watts. Can be hand held and it also comes with a crevice tool that works.Easy to empty. As compared with our old cleaner it is only 10% of its weight and uses 90% less power. The cons.. It is not free standing for an upright. The cable could be a shy longer but that is me being Picky

Robyn 03 July 2012 I have had this for 2-3 weeks and wanted to wait to write a proper review, to make sure I gave it a fair trial. I have used it on hardwood, tile, and carpet with good results on all. It's ideal for a kitchen; it completely replaces a broom and dustpan. It's great for my lounge, and picks up every ball of fluff. It's not ideal for a large carpeted room, but it's perfect for a hallway or small area. It makes vacuuming stairs a delight. It can be used as a vacuum or a hand vac, and comes with a pointed nozzle for narrow areas. Overall, a great machine at a very, very good price. A+++
