Bought this ironing board on a whim because I was seduced by the pretty pattern - but it's also sturdy, and much wider than my last ironing board, making it great for ironing bedding.Haven't used the cable holder yet, and I'd rather it was detachable as it gets in the way slightly.

Having purchase two other ironing boards and returned them from another well known shop because they were too light and not stable. My husband and myself were shopping in Lakeland for cake tins when we saw your ironing boards and purchased as above, absolutely love it, it is sturdy , wide and would recommend it 100 per cent! As we use a steam generator iron it sit perfectly on the end.
LOVE THIS BOARD! I'm thrilled. love the height, sturdy, nice and wide, the flex holder helps to make ironing(something I normally hate), a breeze...almost! Bought the iris cover to go on top, in large, fits perfectly and it's gorgeous, It gives extra padding too. Expensive but well worth paying extra for the BEST board I've ever owned/used. My old Lakeland Ironing Table collapsed. I cannot remember how long ago, or even where, I bought it. I read the reviews, followed advice and bought, also, a "Cherries" cover for extra padding which makes the table easy to use. The table is well balanced and sturdy, looks bright and cheerful. It is easy to erect and keeps its stand perfectly.I am very pleased with this purchase, ordered and kept for me by the lovely Staff at Northallerton. Margaret Wood
I bought this ironing board after browsing through the catalogue. It is a good height but think the cover could be more padded. Not easy to balance the iron on the holder but that could be the design of my iron. Not sure if the flex holder is that useful as it sometimes (the flex) catches in the holding area. Like the height and width which makes for easy ironing and the cover is very pretty.
