Lakeland Steam Mop Replacement Pads

I've had my steam mop for at least three years. The pads are changed after each use, if necessary and it usually is as we live in the country. They go in the washing machine and emerge grey, rather than shining white, but they do the job brilliantly. I've bought another set as spares. I haven't had any problems with the velcro, which works as well now as when new.

I use my steam cleaner every couple of days and I have all stone floors so they get a good deal of use. I don't have any problem with the Velcro and I change the pad on average every couple of months. It would be really great if the company making these pads could make a pad that had an abrasive bottom for use with difficult ground in stains. Maybe Lakeland could put this suggestion to the makers of the pad.

I've had my steam mop for several years and it's one of my favourite purchases. The pads all are rather greying though, despite soaking before washing. I save them up to wash them all together so as they only last one clean I get through them quite quickly. I bought a 3-pack of replacements a while ago and recently realised I needed more. Just a little disappointed that they only come in packs of two now. Sadly I can't remember whether the price for three was similar to what I just had to pay for two.

I have to agree the pads are really hard to clean. I love the mop and the idea of no chemicals - fab. BUT i have to soak the pads in heavy chemicals before washing them in yet more chemicals before they even resemble being clean. They dont stay on the mop to brilliantly either. bit dissappointing for the Lakeland brand.

I've had my Lakeland steam mop for several years now and I'm on my 3rd set of pads, which I wash after every use (country dweller). I follow the instructions to the letter as to how to wash them and they never look clean. Only one had Velcro problems, and they haven't shrunk, but unless you put them through a hot wash occasionally they just look dirtier and dirtier. Mop excellent, pads no so much, although I think they do the job - just hard to judge by their appearance.
