This is a great product which you can work with one hand. It holds the paper firmly right down to the last sheets. My husband was very doubtful about it but even he has been pleasantly surprised!

This item looks very stylish and the fact it keeps the roll tidy, rather than the end flapping around getting in the way when not needed is especially good. I find I do need to use both hands to tear a sheet of though I have occasionally managed to do it one handed. Due to its design and weight it is stable on the work surface when using it.

Yes its more expensive than a standard kitchen roll holder but so much more practical & stylish. No more trying to manhandle a roll with sticky/dirty hands only to drop it on the floor. This sits next to my hob and with one hand I can quickly grab a sheet and mop up any spills. Love it, love it, love it. Only one question though ......... why did I not know about this sooner? :-) Go on, spoil yourself.
