Stay-Put Kitchen Roll Holder

I found this item useful. It holds a kitchen roll well but also holds 2 toilet rolls well as well. The top part screws in order to create the suction, so once the roll is loaded it should not be tightened until on the surface it is to stick too. I think the previous reviews did not consider that this item is only capable to sticking to large smooth tiles (as large as the base) and it cannot stick to laminated surfaces. I think all in all if you have a fridge, freezer or tile in the appropriate postion it is a great buy.

Although there was one poor review about this product already, I thought I'd take a chance on it as it was greatly reduced. However, I have to agree with the previous review. This kitchen roll holder won't stick to my kitchen worksurface - or my tiles, or anything else that I've tried to fix it to. Maybe I'm not applying enough pressure to the base - but then that is rather difficult to do with a bulky kitchen roll already on the spindle! Not what I was looking for - which I have to say is unique in any of my previous orders with Lakeland.

I bought this as it could be fixed to the wall and would keep the kitchen roll handy but not clutter up a very small work surface. I had high hopes when I took it out of the box that it would work well given the large suction pad. However, it hasn't stuck to any surfaces in the kitchen anyway up.Even the right way up on the worktop moving. Possibly the laminate walls are not smooth enough & maybe it would work better on tiles but as that isn't what I bought it for I will be returning it to a shop. Shame as it seemed ideal.
