Brilliant customer service in the Guildford store today. The assistant unpacked the fan and powered it up for me. The fan is very simple to setup, no tools required. The oscillation is smooth and silent with no juddering unlike cheaper fans. The fan isn't whisper quiet, but its certainly quieter than any other tower fan I've heard. I highly recommend this fan.
First off let me be clear - I was looking for a fan for my small bedroom which was quiet enough to sleep through. Based on the description I thought this was it. Sadly, it isn't. First off, the fan is no quieter than my current tower fan, which I certainly would not describe as whisper quiet. Secondly it is no smaller than my existing tower fan, so I would dispute the space saving claim. Finally, be warned that the LED's at the front shine constantly whilst it is on. It does however seem to be good quality and good variation in speed. Just sadly not what I am looking for.
