"Get your ironing done much faster with the oversized board.... it's great" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product I thought at the time it was expensive, but after using it a few times realised that the clothes were taking less time to iron, and I was far more comfortable when ironing them, I'm 5' 10'' and the 'usual' ironing boards sold in supermarkets are just not high enough. It is extremely stable, and you get the ironing done very quickly with the much larger ironing area, whether sitting or standing. I much prefer a silicone pad to rest the iron on as it can be moved up when ironing shirts, and I place it on the kitchen worktop when ironing king size bed linen. I managed to find replacement covers by the maker on the internet.I also use it when wrapping up numerous Christmas presents, it is large enough for several rolls of paper, sellotape, scissors etc. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for placing your review.
"Superb Quality" star star star star star After much "shopping around" and thought, I decided to purchase this ironing board. My first board was a Brabantia and lasted 25 years! Then in the space of 5 years, I have had 2 other ironing boards! I have returned to Brabantia and its fantastic. Now in my early 50's and disabled, I was determined to have the right ironing board. This board has almost every wish feature, curved legs, so its easy to sit and iron. A wonderfully wide platform and a non-attached silicone mat for your iron to rest on.No its not cheap but I have spent this amount on 2 boards in the last 5 years, now I have bought quality. Its also not light but I didn't expect it to be. I think I may well need to leave this ironing board in my Will!
"Wow! I never thought I'd rave about an ironing board!" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product I was cynical that this ironing board could be much different to any other but I was wrong!I hate ironing, largely because of the dreadful backache I get. This Brabantia model stands at a maximum 40", has a huge ironing area, is built like a Rolls Royce of ironing boards and having just used it for the first time, I can confirm it is a pleasure to use.I have a large steam generator iron with tank and it is plenty big enough to iron legs of jeans and the whole back of a shirt without needing to rotate garments.A considered purchase? Yes.But it will probably be a family heirloom in years to come!
