Lakeland Cyclonic Cylinder Vac

Having just bought this for £99, and found it's not as good as I'd hoped (ie often leaves hair etc on carpet and virtually impossible to change the heads on my own), I'm really fed up to say the least that you have now reduced it to less than £30!!

My old vacuum is dying so I bought one of these and am delighted with it. It has a great suck, the tools fit well. It's so light my 3 year old was wheeling it round the hall. I love that it has a light to show the power is connected (so if you go too far and pull the plug out you realise without having to traipse back to the plug socket to check). Slight bugbear is that the dust container is quite small so you have to empty it often but it's easy enough, just flick it open over the bin and it's done. Also the accessory holder does tend to jam you in the hip if you swing it round too quickly.

Lakeland need to work on the finishing touches with this machine, it has good suction and is great at picking up debris - a good work horse. The main problem is the hose which is far too short to do the stairs (9steps), I thought as a light weight machine this would be its strong point. I end up having to carry it half way up (not good for safety). The main tool head is great on carpet but not good on a slate floor - it drags (same for wood). Finally does it really need a light to say it is plugged in, I thought the government was getting rid of stand by switches to save energy.

I have been using my vac for about a month now and it has to work hard - we have a large hairy dog and this has been the best vac for picking up dog hair and we have tried them all. Easy to empty and the flex is long enough that you aren't moving sockets all the time.

Bought this product last week, all I can say is that its superb! The accessories are easy to use and the extendable hose makes the daily household chore a dream.Knocks spots off other cyclonic vacs and at an increadibly reasonable price, thanks Lakeland!
