Lavender Wash It Laundry Ball

I have only used this on a dark wash but the results are excellent (5 stars) and I am disappointed that they are no longer going to be stocked, however the last one, that I am now using, did fall apart as in a previous review (hence the three star rating given) and all the balls were everywhere in the washing and the machine and I was worried about it getting into the mechanism of the machine. I mended it with strong glue. In conclusion - I would definitely use again IF it was guaranteed not to fall apart and possibly ruin my machine. It is a shame that they will no longer be available.

I am always looking for ways to be more "green" and thought I wouls give these a try despite the mixed reviews. Used the ball with a small load of lightly soiled clothes and like another reviewer, I was disappointed to find that the ball came apart - on it's first use in my case! Can't really judge the effectiveness of it as a cleaner as I was too busy picking loose balls out of the washer drums and then had to re-wash everything anyway. Not good.

I must have used this laundry ball about 20 times & was pleased with the results. However, on the last two occasions, the ball has come apart, dispersing the tiny balls into the clothes & the nooks & crannies of my washing machine! The first time this happened, I thought it was just a one-off, but it happened again on the very next wash. If the two halves of the ball screwed together instead of placed together, this problem could probably be avoided - a bit of a design fault, I reckon!

No-one who has thought about, it can like the idea of all those millions of packets of soap powder we see on supermarket shelves glugging down into our rivers and seas. This is a chance to make a difference. I have had excellent results with the Wash-It laundry ball. Not only does it clean just as well as all those soapy products, but it doesn't need all the rinsing that detergent does, so I save water, too. Colours seems better and there is no need for fabric conditions either. Full marks from me!

Bought this thinking it would be a good alternative to buying separate detergent and fabric conditioner, it was also supposed to give a lavender smell. Clothes seemed clean enough, but they were not really dirty to begin with and there was no scent at all. On the whole not really impressed.
