20 Lakeland Sock Mates

Having had the sockies version perhaps even 15 years ago, I wanted to buy some of the latest design. These are a couple of months old and are warping in the tumble dryer. I have plenty of the original ones which are still coping fine. I note that the Lakeland website says it will not be restocking these - I hope they will be replaced with something more robust and durable.

I purchased these hoping that the disappearing sock problem had come to an end. No such luck. 9 times out of 10 they come apart in the washing machine never mind getting them to the clothes line. Not impressed at all. I think this is a first for me with Lakeland products. Not even sure it should get one star !!!!

These seem to be made of a thermo-plastic material. This means that they can melt under the heat of a tumble dryer which, apart from rendering them useless, leaves melted plastic sticking to your clothes! I guess they would be OK when used on a washing line, but avoid if tumble-drying!

Have given up using them. I bought the Sock Mates prevent the 'missing sock' problem. I now have a missing Sock Mate problem. No matter how well I secure the socks before washing, nine times out of ten the sock mate comes off in the machine. I have rated them with one star as there is no 'zero star' option. A waste of £4.99

Fantastic idea, however my leaves have now all dropped off so I'm left with stalks and the socks don't stay in the holes. Apart from that really good product!
