I bought this to use from the fridge to the table, to replace a butter dish which didnt fit in the fridge well. It lasted about a year, I droped the lid and it broke! I will replace it as we all miss it but an unbreakable version would be a good idea.

I agree with all the reviews. This item is very heavy, and like others last week I was getting mine out of the fridge and the lid landed on the floor and broke. I will be honest and say I have had mine for a few years, but would love a lighter unbreakable version. However, in the mean time I will buy another one.

I have been really pleased with this product but after constantly cautioning my son to be careful, it was me who was holding it when the lid dropped and broke! It would be good for a more secure lid to be designed but as long as you don't tuck it under your arm and carry it sensibly the lid should be ok.

I think this a great product, but am on my fourth or fifth over as many years, because it is easy to knock the lid off and it breaks on the kitchen floor. I went to look at the stainless one, but it is too small for tubs.
I know the lid was flawed in design, but I LIKE this product. I have already had three of these over the years, and it's always been the lid that's broken. Having lost yet another lid, I would've been quite happy to invest in another tub, only to find it discontinued. Help! Can't find anything like it anywhere else! How about selling lids and bottoms separately?
