Sticky Stuff Remover Wipes

Sticky stuff remover, having heard it was very good, I used it this morning to remove a peeling decal from the front of my caravan and have to say that it was completely ineffective. I used it several times as directed but it made no difference at all. To say it is advertised as doing a good job I am very disappointed that it does NOT do the job it is clearly designed for.

Sticky stuff wipes bought last week are bone dry. As such they need a huge effort to remove dried on Sellotape from UPVC door frame. I see other comments describe these as too wet! Not these, that's for sure. I'll now search for a solution that works.

I'm a BIG fan of SSR, to the point of trying to pack some on longer trips. But in the end I never did, no matter how secure the bottle looked; just too risky. This one takes care of that, with aplomb. Sure, it doesn't have the area coverage of the other two, but you can't pack those! Yes, you do need to mind the juice when you lift the wipe out of the envelope (but then the juice is what ensures it works). Yes, it is papery - but if it wasn't, that nice soft fabric would soak up all the liquid instead of making it bear down on your sticky stuff ;-) I reckon it's pretty near perfect :-)

I've been a massive fan of Sticky Stuff Remover for years so when I saw these wipes I was keen to try them out. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The wipes are cheap and papery and when I took one out of the packet the liquid dripped all over my kitchen counter, down the side of the cupboard and onto the floor before I had even opened it out. More mess than I started with and it's a pain to wipe off. I've put these straight in the bin. The cost of the 40 mile round trip to return them to the store just isn't worth it. :-(
