This mat is not fit for purpose as it just fill up with rain water. Complete waste of use for out side.Bad design.

I'm afraid mine has gone into the bin already. There are no drainage holes so if you're planning on using outside where it's exposed to the elements you'll find that any rain just sits in it, making the soles of your shoes too wet to walk in unless you have an inside mat also. If you had some sort of canopy it sat under it would be OK but for me, if it says 'outdoor mat' it should be able to be used outside in all situations. Very disappointing that it isn't fit for purpose.

The mat removes mud well, but you can never "shake it when dry". It holds water. It's a permanent puddle on my doorstep and has to be stepped around when you don't have muddy shoes. Can you please broadcast the help you've offered to others with the same problem. Thank you.
We're sorry to hear you've experienced the problem with drainage. Sadly we don't have a solution for draining the water from the mat but we do always pass customers comments to our buying team. If customers experience the same issue our buying team will make a decision to speak to the supplier in the hope of seeking improvements to a product. In the meantime we offer the customer help under the Lakeland guarantee. We do appreciate this doesn't help with the problem you've experienced.
Despite being advertised as an outside mat I agree with other reviewers in that without any drainage holes rain water just collects and stays in the mat which makes it unsuitable for purpose. The bristles were good at removing dirt however the holding water issue meant they were impractical. Very disappointing.

This mat has a constant pool of water under the bristles from rain water collecting. Feet become muddier after use as a result of this which defeats the purpose of having a doormat. It does look good though and the bristles are effective so if you have it under enough shelter it may work for you.
