simplehuman Sensor Soap Pump

Having just read the previous reviews I have just had to log in and say my experience is so much different. The ONLY glitch I had was getting the soap to flow (My Fault for not reading the Instruction book.Small pin to VERY VERY LIGHTLY POKE THE DISPENCEING HOLE).Set the flow to a much or as little soap in each dispensing.Turn it off altogether hold the - , turn it on + FANTASTIC easy to refill for someone with grip problems the top just flicks off.Well done LAKELAND and simplehuman. Dose not come with supplied batteries though.P.sThe Childabeasts (kid's) have NO excuse now.

I have bought the two previous models in this range, though the idea is excellent, they haven't worked very well for me. The first one was ok, until I changed the battery, then couldn't get the sensor to work. I bought another one, that one only worked for a couple of weeks before the sensor stopped working. I must add though that my sister bought one too, hers has been working without problems for the last two years and she's changed the batteries so surely it must be me? I'm going to try a hand dispensing soap pump, good old fashioned 'hand power' might work better for me!

We have two of these [ black & white ] but as Keith as said,we have the same problem as him,but we do like them,Regards Alfie.

Thought this would be a good idea but I seem to be one of many for whom the dispensing has given up dispensing. It does have another trick as I have found it squirting out soap all on its own with no human intervention!Mildly amusing but a great waste of soap.Hands free was the attraction but I don't think this purchase will be repeated. Sadly after only a couple of months this model is not the helpful kitchen gadget I had hoped it would be.

I have had this product for several months now and one fault has led to another. Initially the unit would not work in sunlight or bright ambient light. Lakeland promised a new unit was soon to be available and I received a replacement just over a month ago. The new model did not have the same fault. On the basis of this, I purchased a second unit.However, recently (and always first thing in the morning), we have found a pool of soap from this dispenser on the work top or in the sink. This morning, I went to the kitchen without turning the light on and the unit was working intermittently without me touching it and was dispensing a small amount of soap into the sink. Changing the batteries made no difference to its performance - immediately the lights were switched off the soap dispenser produced the same fault. With two problems now identified - one with bright light, the other with no light - and having now wasted a considerable amount time identifying the problems as well as wasting a significant quantity of soap, I am returning both units for a refund. I shall not be buying or seeking a replacement and I certainly do not recommend anybody else to buy one.PS. I have given this product a 1 star rating as a 0 star rating is not an option.
