OXO Good Grips® Drying Mat

These mats are so effective and attractive we have just ordered another 2. They sit unobtrusively on our granite surfaced drainer, protecting the surface and allowing glassware especially to dry quickly as the raised ridges allow air under the rim of the glasses. Excellent.

Having just had my kitchen re-done, how about getting this product made in a circle shape and possibly with some more colours? I say circle as my sink/drainer is a round shape so I think this would fit better. It's certainly nicer than having a bulky drainer.

What a great idea - these are excellent - they are so easy to use - we don't use them as a drying mat but as a protection on our work surfaces - easy to store - one is just not enough! Stops my family plonking hot pans or the kettle straight from the Aga hot plate down on our wooden counter tops!

This mat looks far more attractive than a dishrack, and easily rolls away for storage. Another major benefit (which is not mentioned on the website) is that the mat is also heat resistant to 220C, so it can also be used as a trivet for hot pans etc.

I bought one of these recently to sit on our new granite sink surround. It is great for protecting glassware from chipping on the hard surface. I also use it for resting hot pans on. It would be even better if it were a bit longer rather than square as it doesn't fit many glasses on it and had one edge which had no lip so that water would drain off into the sink. I'd also have preferred one in a darker grey to match my worktop better.
