This stool is really lovely. It is easy to open and close and just the right height for reaching into kitchen cupboards. I did have the blue plastic one but couldnt close it because it was so stiff.and nearly lost my fingers. This is a bit more expensive but worth every penny. Thanks lakeland.

This little stool has definitely earned its keep. It looks good in the kitchen as it matches my kitchen cupboards. I use it daily for getting to my top cupboards. It feels safe to use too. My 5yr old grand daughter uses it to get that extra height required to reach the worktops, when we are baking, and also sat at the coffee table when doing her drawing/colouring.

I bought this step stool earlier in the year, primarily to reach the top shelves in my kitchen. I looked at alternatives and deliberated over the price, but what a find, and what a clever design. Pleasing in appearance, neat and compact to store, sturdy and non-slip, light and easy to carry up and down stairs, opens and closes in a second, everything it should be and more besides. It's just tall enough to feel totally safe, and at 5'2" has become a firm favourite which I recommend to everyone, I use it in the kitchen, to reach top wardrobes shelves, to open, close and clean windows. No home should be without one!

We bought this for my Mum and as other reviwers have mentioned its a really good quality purchase. Its very sturdy, looks smart and yet not too heavy to move from room to room. Its been put to good use by my Mum and the grandchildren so its definitely better value than the plactic alternatives.
