Remember your Mum wiping your face with a damp, slighly sour dishcloth that had been in use for weeks? This product keeps your cloths dry between uses, cleaner, less germs and definatley no sour smell. Green scourer has a place, as does the washing up liquid.Well made, not likely to fall over and discreet.(use a paper towel for the kids face)

For ages, I'd searched for a sink tidy not made from plastic that would house all my washing-up paraphernalia but wasn't made from plastic. Lakeland recently offered a very similar one to this, but without the dishcloth stand. I bought it but could not resist "upgrading" once this one became available. It's quite sturdy and looks great. The base is made of two pieces (like a box with a lid), and you need to lift the lid off to empty any dripped water but that is not difficult to do. The dishcloth stand is wide enough to take a Mabu dishcloth (#21426) folded over once. But there are two things to be aware of from a practical point of view that I would have found helpful to have known before purchasing. Firstly, I absolutely love Lakeland's "professional washing up brushes" (#9289) as they last an eternity. But they have a hook on the end and, whereas the previous similar version of this stand had two little hollows/indentations in the base under the rack designed to hold brushes which that hook sat perfectly in, this new model does not and getting the brushes to stand up on their end without toppling over is a bit of a challenge (can be done, but you can't just drop the brush into the rack). I don't think this would be such an issue if your brushes had handles with squared-off ends, though. Secondly, the space for the sponge (as shown in the picture) is quite narrow. Possibly(?) perfect for those Tuff Scrubs (4801). This is a great item. I'm just not sure I would have "upgraded" from the previous one just so I could have a stand for my dishcloth as these are not cheap, and I wanted to pass that advice on to anyone thinking about doing to same. I've rated the product on its own merits though so five stars less one for not having those indentations.

I needed a compact sink tidy as I don't have much space between the sink and the windowsill, and this was the only one narrow enough, & I'm reasonably pleased with it. I use it for a washing up brush (which, as another reviewer points out, is tricky to get to stay upright), and a vegetable brush which has a hole for hanging it up which I slot onto the top rail. I can fit a handwash dispenser on the left side, and a flat scourer sponge in front of the rails and a nail brush behind it. It's easy to keep clean - I just give it a wipe and a rinse whenever I clean the sink and drainer.

As said in a previous review, which I should have heeded, difficult to stand the brush, had to wedge it with cleaning sponges. As one item is put in place there is a tendency to dislodge another. Expected an area for washing up liquid but none designated according to size. Very fiddly! Still persevering but don't think will be able to much longer.

Reasonable product, I agree with a previous reviewer that the dishcloth holder is on the small side. However, on ours the dishwasher holder has come off! The soldered joint has given way, and the stand no longer stays in its socket. Hope this is a one-off and not a design flaw.
