Bissell® Rug Stick

Everything the previous reviewer said is true. We have a dog (and a pet vac) but needed something more to take stains out of the carpets. This works like a dream. In fact, we started by only cleaning the spot where the dog was sick but had to clean the whole carpet because we had a clean spot. It is quick and easy to use and leaves the dog hair in tidy rolls which are easy to pick up and dispose of. Amazing!

This fantastic product does exactly what it says on the tin. You use one side of the stick to dispense the foam, and a quick turn of the stick to brush the foam into the carpet. We have 4 cats who make their various marks, plus chickens in the garden, and a husband who doesn't always remove his boots when he comes in!! And EVERY mark has come out. Some have required a second application, but it is very satisfying to have a spotlessly clean carpet - I'm truly amazed by the efficiency of this product. It smells lovely too.I have purchased many a product from ideal home exhibitions, only to get it home, and it be inefficient, or awkward to use. This is NOT one of those.The only suggestion I have is that you purchase the refill canisters with the stick, as the tester can only does a small area, and then I had to wait, impatiently I might add, for the new cans to arrive so I could finish the job!!

I have recently had the hall/stairs/landing carpets professionally cleaned and as a result they seem to mark and stain twice as quickly as before. So having read the reviews for several possible product purchases, I plumped for the Bissell Rug Stick on the basis that if it was half as good as the other reviews I was onto a winner for the money. Needless to say it has exceeded all expectations and I am chuffed to bits with it. It did, a suggested buy the refill foam but for less than £30.00 all in I have lots left and lovely clean carpets. I personally wasnt very keen on the fragrance of the foam but I was less keen on dirty carpets and once hoovered away I couldnt smell it at all anyway. Thank you so much.

This is really just a gadget that squirts the foam with a long-handled brush to then work it into the carpet, but the foam is the best carpet cleaner I've come across yet. Having the rug stick is a big help. After a few minutes, one gets the hang of it, and it really does save having to go on one's knees to clean the carpet. Being disabled, that's a winner for me. I first tried it on a patch that had got dirty. It did such a good job that I then had to clean the whole carpet with it to even it out, as the cleaned patch was that obvious. I actually quite like the fragrance of it, helped to act like an "air freshener".

I think this is a total bargain for the brilliant results you get with it. I found it very easy to use and liked that you don't have to faff around with buckets of water. It does require a fair bit of effort if you are doing large dirty-all-over areas, but it's very simple to use. It also comes neatly packaged in a small box, you assemble the pole (very easy) at home. I'm just about to order another can to try it on a dirty armchair next - it's ruined anyway from building work dirt and permanently has to have a throw over it, so nothing to lose if it doesn't work, but it was fab on carpets
