Ordered these on 25th December while on offer. Sat here in the dark 2.4.2011 bulb just gone out. Can't calculate whether I've had 10,000 hours but for the price of the bulb it doesn't seem a long time to be working. Other than that I liked the light it gave off.

Being a disabled pensioner l bought these bulbs to improve the light in our small flat. The difference is great. Thank you very much
...and so is the present. we have a rather dark victorian house and often need a light on in the day in the dining room in the winter. Ordinary energy saving lights are too dim and take ages to get to full illumination. I can now sew and read with out the need for an extra lamp. They are not cheap but they really make a difference
I bought two of these bulbs, and they do light up instantly and with a very brilliant light. Unfortunately they are not suitable for what I bought them for - I wanted lighting for our lounge, and when these lights are switched on it feels as though we are all being interrogated!! Subtle lighting it is not, so it is a shame that they are not able to be used for what they were intended for. Disappointed that I cannot use them, but amazing that I have to say it is because they are TOO bright.

I bought two of these bulbs. Although the days are long at the moment I know these will be superb in the long winter nights. The white light makes it easier to read or sew and they make it seem like daylight. The only problem is they make other lights seem dim and yellow. I shall be getting some more.
