Lakeland EvenHeat Iron

I had been really pleased with this iron's performance and even learnt to be careful not to press the buttons when ironing! However when doing the self clean and following the instructions to the letter I find very little water is used and the water tank is left almost full. This is the exact opposite to the explanation in the booklet.I returned my first iron as I was concerned about this and was generously given a replacement but this one seems even worse leaving scale stuck in the holes in the base plate after cleaning and squirting scale bits when ironing with steam. What should I do?

For £60 I was expecting this to be the Rolls Royce of irons; sadly I have been very disappointed. Found controls fiddly, the constant beeping aggravating and the worst feature was excessive water leakage out of the soleplate-not impressed with the self-clean feature either. Only good thing is that I purchased from Lakeland who have agreed to a full refund and to send a courier to collect it.

Great iron, heats up in seconds, easy and smooth to use especially the pull out chamber for filling with water. Long cord which neatly winds round the iron makes hard to reach areas childs play.I am very pleased with my purchase thanks again Lakeland.

This iron does a great job. It isn't too heavy, even when filled with water, has an easy to use digital temperature switch, heats up very quickly, and best of all, has an extra long cable which is a real boon.

I love this iron. It's the best one I've ever had. Heats up quickly and easy to use. Slightly irritating when you keep catching the temperature change switches with your hand whilst ironing but it didn't stop me ordering a second one to use at my holiday home.
