Here's an ironing board that really will lighten the load – in fact it weighs 4.6kg (10lb) – so little you can lift it with just one hand, making putting it up a breeze! Its surface is made from a special thermo-plastic material, which reflects heat to actually make steam ironing easier.
Beneath the butterfly-bedecked cover lies a large curved end which makes for speedy shirt and blouse pressing. The height of the legs is adjustable from approx. 55cm (21¾") to 98cm (38½"), and they lock in place against the board when stored away. Leifheit have thought of the left-handers too, with an adjustable iron rest which can be fitted anywhere on the board to suit.

This is a fantastic ironing board. It is extremely lightweight yet sturdy. The legs lock in very securely for storage. I am quite tall and it extends to a good height for me which means less back ache! The surface area is very large which makes ironing sheets and duvet covers very easy. Would definitely recommend this product.
I just had to write!!! At first I felt a little light-headed spending so much money on an ironing board but this (extremely) light and neat board is also substantial and is the very best I've used. Being left handed I love the optional iron rest, which can be positioned anywhere that suits you - or not as the case may be - and the fact that the board locks into a closed position means that fingers are safe. All in all a well thought out ironing aid and a great investment.
I don't normally write reviews but I am so impressed with this ironing board that I felt compelled to. First, it is very light compared to other ironing boards especially the brabantia table. However, it is also extremely sturdy thanks to the leg design - no wobbles here. It is a breeze to put up and down and locks in place securely when down. I love that you can use the whole board for large items such as table cloths and put the ironing rest anywhere - most of the time I don't use it at all, but it is good to have if you need to leave the iron unattended for a few minutes. Despite the fact that this is the longest board on the market, it takes up remarkably little room when folded up - approx 60 inches. Anyone that struggles with a heavy, unwieldy board will love this.
I'm really pleased with this ironing board. The cover stays in place, and leaves none of those annoying 'criss cross' marks on my clothes that I'd been getting with my old one.Yes it's expensive, but I've probably wasted almost as much on ironing board covers that turned out to not fit properly. This ironing board will last me forever, so I consider it a very good investment.
There is nowhere on the description that says how large this board is when folded, it is about 9 inches taller than my last ironing board and so it wont fit in the cupboard. I am sure it is probably a good board but overall size matters not just the adjustable height!
