"Good mat" star star star star star I have poured boiling water into the sink with the mat in place and no warping at all. It is a nice mat and easily cuts to size. I am buying another to sit on the draining board to save my stainless steel drainer from scratches.
"Great item" star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product Certainly good on the three 'F's - fit, form and function! We have a Belfast sink and drainer which was always getting marked, not to mention the noise when washing up. This works wonders and was easy to cut to accommodate the plug hole. So good - we're buying a second one for the drainer!
"A little disappointed." star star star star_border star_border I've ordered a few of these mats, and whilst I think they are fantastic and protect my Belfast sink from damage and crockery from being damaged, they do discolour very quickly! This will be my third in the last year and it too has already started to discolour after only a few weeks, I can appreciate that its probably inevitable with clear plastic, it's just becoming an expensive job to keep my sink looking clean! support_agent A note from the team Thanks for the feedback. The mat will discolour if tea, curry or tomato based foods are poured down the sink when it's in place. I'll be in touch shortly.
"Advantages and Disadvantages" star star star_border star_border star_border I bought 2 of the large sized sink mats for my belfast sink. The advantage is that they do protect your crockery, glassware etc but I have found that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The label does state that the mat will discolour with time; but how long is that? I have been relentless in rinsing them and bleaching them to ensure that no food colour is left behind. In only 6 weeks I have found that mine are already starting to discolour. I find that food gets trapped in-between the circles on the mat too. For the price paid I am disappointed by this item.
"PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!" star star star_border star_border star_border I agree with everyone about the discolouration. When I first bought the mat last week, it looked really nice, kind of silvery, in my belfast-type sink. Even just a tiny amount still stains the mat, AFTER rinsing the tin of tomatoes or jar of curry sauce without the mat. It's a bad choice of plastic - the manufacturers need to know this. So far, I haven't had splits, but I am wet from splashes, just like other customers. It does protect the enamelled sink from being whacked by pans and other dishes. Please change the plastic so it is not so absorbent. Or encourage us to have a PINK kitchen! support_agent A note from the team Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to speak to me on the phone. Please note that the mats will stain if tea, curry or tomato based food are poured down the sink when it's in situ.
