I was given a pack and have since bought a couple more from the catalogue. I used it to hold a dropped hem up, so cut the tape into +- 3" strips, stuck the hem down and both tape and hem remained in place - it's all I wanted! I now keep some in my bag too ...
My daughter was going to a wedding and as she got out of the car looking stunning the hem on her new dress unravelled the whole way round, she was devatated. I was able to save her distress by using instant hem and 2 safety pins. I don't know how she would have managed without it, yes it's a bit short, but it was perfect for an emergency. If i'm not mistaken, the idea behind this item is to make a quick fix when disaster strikes at a busy time!I can't believe that people don't know how to hem a pair of trousers now, the old fashioned way with a needle and thread.You don't need miles of tape to fix a heel-caught hem.Sorry but i'm of the old school!Item is a good idea for the job.Given 4 stars as there is always room for improvement in everything.
... there just wasn't enough of it. I was expecting a roll but there was barely enough to hem one trouser leg. At £2.49 I was expecting more. Will probably stick with my usual method in future.

I too was suprised by it's length. Albeight it's length is stated on the webpage I must confess that I assumed 1.5 was 1.5 metres and did not read on to the 50cm bit!I have yet to try the product so I cannot comment on it's quality. So have rated on its value for money due to its length. I am rather disappointed and glad I did not order two. One pair of trousers and its all over!I shall be going back to the iron on hem webbing in future.
